The term "Mut" has long described a flat-topped mountain or hill. The view from the ridge to 21 3.000 m peaks and glaciers is breathtaking. A chair lift was opened on Hohe Mut as early as 1953. This was replaced in 2007 by an ultramodern 8-seater cable car system. Today you can conveniently reach the mountain station at 2.670m in nine minutes from the town centre of Obergurgl. In the summer, the Hohe Mut Alm is an ideal base for easy hikes in the Rotmoostal and Gaisbergtal valleys.
Homelike rooms, a wine cellar and the convival bar with an open fire place generate a recreational ambience where you can relax and feel comfortable. Beside the culinary delights and local specialities you can enjoy the stunning view from our panorama lounge or from the convenient canvas chairs on our sun terrace.
The sunny restaurant in the middle of the Alps is open during the summer and the wintertime.
In summer the Hohe Mut Alm is an ideal starting point for easy hiking tours in the Rotmoos- and Gaisbergtal.
